I am pleased to welcome my dear and fellow graduates from Faculty of Engineering, Horus University – Egypt (HUE) and to congratulate you on your efforts during your study years, as the faculty and university provided you with everything necessary from both the scientific and practical aspects, which must have provided you with advanced skills to qualify you for the labor market in Egypt and abroad in this era. The era in which competition is increasing between educational institutions to build distinguished educational outcomes capable of competing in the labor market. Doing so also because of its belief in the importance of the university graduate as a reflection of the academic program from which he/she graduated, the faculty and the university to the society locally and globally, particularly for the labor market. Therefore, the university is keen to sustain communication with its graduates for the purpose of participation in raising the level of performance and educational services provided to the students of our nation through the creation of Engineering Alumni Unit that supports continuous communication between the university and its graduates.
Particularly, the Engineering Alumni Unit is concerned with following up on various graduates’ affairs. The unit helps alumni move from the educational environment within the university to the professional environment in society. It also follows up on their news and helps them address appropriate job opportunities that are compatible with their academic specializations. Furthermore, the unit also provides services, trainings and offers qualifying courses for students before their graduation to provide them with the necessary skills that develop their abilities and enable them to benefit from the available career opportunities. Finally, the unit provides feedback to the academic programs in the faculty, and provides them with employment rates for each academic program, with the aim of keeping track of its progress as it relates to the changing needs of the labor market.
